Masked Identity

My mask represents what I imagine my personality to be; while I am not a closed or shy person, I am not an open book right away. I love to be around new people and learn about their lives, as well as share my own; however, I do not share my ideas and feelings, as soon as I think or feel. I instead share my thoughts with those close to me, or those I have gotten to know well. I wanted the silhouette of my mask to resemble the way a cloak covers the head, not only to gives the feeling a being somewhat hidden, while not entirely concealed, but also to represent my love of enchanted stories and old times.

3D to 2D

After altering my soap form into another, I felt as though it had become a character from another world and imagined a place that this character may have come from. For my 3D - 2D image I designed an abstract world, that is inspired by my creature. I wanted to use elements that appeared as marker hatching and also include bright colors, similar to those on my creature's back. Finally, I included whimsical flowers and clouds, to create a place that would be cheerful and bright.
